women's and Men's Wellness program

This is an intake program designed for the basically well adult, that focuses on optimizing vitality and both mental and physical well-being.  Any man who wishes to live a long, healthy and active life should make time for a comprehensive evaluation and implement a customized nutritional regimen based on laboratory results.

These programs includes:

For all:

  • A history, with an eye to detecting hidden problems and symptoms that have been neglected or overlooked
  • A full physical examination
  • An Electrocardiogram
  • Basic Blood work is ordered and reviewed (chemistries, blood count, urinalysis)
  • Comprehensive evaluation of thyroid function, and adrenal function as indicated
  • Comprehensive hormonal evaluation (age appropriate)
  • Comprehensive laboratory evaluation of cardiovascular risk
  • Evaluation of the adequacy of vitamins and nutrients
  • Order for and review of bone density test (age 50 and over)
  • Order for and review of colonoscopy (age 50 and over, or as suggested by history)

For Men only:

  • Urological referral and review of findings (over 45)
  • Full discussion of the use of testosterone as appropriate, and whether supplemental hormone therapy might serve a role in the overall health program, answering all questions and addressing all concerns

For Women only:

  • Gynecological referral for exam, PAP test
  • Order for and review of pelvic ultrasound (external and/or transvaginal)
  • Breast study (Mammogram or alternatively, ultrasound and /or thermology with referral and review of findings)
  • Full discussion of the use of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and whether supplemental hormone therapy might serve a role in the overall health program, answering all questions and  addressing all concerns.

Additional follow-up suggestions may be offered, or tests ordered, based upon history, interest, and initial laboratory findings.

Creation of an ongoing wellness program: 

Upon completion of evaluation and fact gathering, a wellness program will be created consisting of dietary protocols, supplements, any necessary medications or hormonal prescriptions, behavioral change, exercise and/or physical therapy, along with a recommended follow-up to assess your progress.
